There are no lyrics to E on purpose. I was inspired by two things.

First, the way music can fill in the space between words. Human emotion is infinite in range, human vocabulary is not. For me the song is a powerfully happy song. It might not be for you. Music without lyrics is a bit like abstract painting in that it is what you see it is. Or hear it is.

You get the point.

It was also inspired by John Butler's Ocean, in my mind the greatest piece of guitar music ever. If you haven't heard that song, do yourself a favor.

I talk about my jam a lot. It comes from a bartender named Brenda who in earlier days would play Ocean and say to me, "That's your jam."
